300DF Motor

This is a great little brushless motor that is very powerful. For the results listed in this chart, you will need to mount this motor in a 400 size gearbox. A GWS gearbox or something that holds a 400 size motor is ideal. Yes - this motor, although called a 300DF is 400 size !

We have done extensive testing on this motor and are really excited about putting it into action in some of our IFO's, Tiger Moths (can you say 3D Tiger Moth), PT-17, and any plane 12 oz's or less should go 3D !

The motor has been tested and works well with two and three LiPo cells in series. I like them on three LiPos !

A two cell runs between 6 and 8.4 volts. A three cell runs between 9 and 12.6 volts, depending on the state of charge. See the Tech Chart to figure out what type of performance you'll get with these motors.

May 1, 2005 - As evident from the very low amp draw this setup will not show the power of this motor. I recommend a 3:1 gearing for this motor, which will enable the motor to use more amps and drive higher speed and/or thrust. This setup is first gear all the way - so low amps, low speed, low thrust but extremely long flight times. Vinnie
